Santa Stork 2018

You can read all about our Giving Day on 10th December in our recent blog. If you’d still like to help with last minute requests, our Localgiving appeal page is still open for donations. Our Amazon wish list and drop-off points are now closed. Thank you!

Last year’s Santa Stork campaign saw brand new presents delivered to 1040 children and 438 of their parents/carers. This year we want to do more – but we need your help! Unlike our regular donations, these gifts are new, and in some cases they form the main or only present that the child or parent/carer will receive this Christmas.

Thank you to Alex Whiteley for producing this fantastic Santa Stork 2018 video – Give a gift, make a memory.

How can I help?

Donate to our Local Giving Page

You can help by making an online donation via Local Giving to our Santa Stork 2018 Appeal Page. Don’t forget to add gift aid if you are a UK tax payer which will increase your donation by 25%. Who wouldn’t want to turn £10 into £12.50? It’s like sprinkling a little pixie dust on your donation.

Buy a gift from our Amazon Wishlist

Our Santa Stork Amazon Wishlist is always popular as people like to buy a tangible gift, so we’ve created one again this year! Our team of elves will be continually keeping this up to date with specific present ideas for the children on our list. You’ll be able to buy gifts from wherever you are – work, train, pub – and they’ll be delivered directly to us. An ideal solution for super busy folk or for those who don’t live locally, but still want to help.

Buy now from our Amazon Wishlist

Or even better, buy from our Santa Stork Wishlist via Amazon Smile, where they’ll also make a charitable donation to Stripey Stork on eligible items based on a % of your spend. Use your usual Amazon login details and start shopping, this donation will be applied to your own shopping too so it’s a great way to continually help Stripey Stork, at no cost to you.

Buy from our suggested gift list

This is a good one to do with the kids, and then you can drop the presents off at one of our local drop-off points, who are now ready to accept your donations:

If you would like to buy a gift at the shops, here’s a list of popular ideas:

0-5 years – puzzles, V-Tech toys, pram toys, push along toys, books, Duplo, Playdoh, tea sets,  dolls, pushchairs, Barbies, craft sets, cars, trains, HotWheels, dinosaurs.
6-10 years – crafts, dolls, board games, colouring sets, Lego, Barbies, Hama beads, jewellery kits, cars, Star Wars, KNex, board games, Playmobil.

In order to be fair, suggested gift price range is £10-£15. Selection boxes and chocolate coins are always a popular gift at Christmas and we give them out in abundance (all edible items must be in date on Christmas Day 2018). Gifts should be left unwrapped and we’d love for you or your children to include a little card with a message.

If you have any questions, please email

Please note that our absolute cut-off date to receive gifts is 3rd DECEMBER 2018, to allow us time to organise and prepare the presents before they are loaded onto our Stork Sleigh.

Don’t forget to upload our ‘I’m supporting Santa Stork’ photo frame over your profile picture on Facebook and/or Twitter here.

Business Support

Last year lots of local and national businesses got behind our campaign and provided presents and items to include in the gift bags. Other ideas are for your company to have it’s own Amazon Wishlist to buy from, sponsor a particular cost element of the campaign such as printing or storage, or act as a local collection point for presents. Or perhaps instead of giving Secret Santa gifts this year, your team members would like to buy an item from our wishlist instead. Please email if you run a business, or have contacts, and would like to support our campaign.

Items we love to receive are books (especially sets from the The Book People), chocolates, sweets, selection boxes (all edible items must be in date on Christmas Day 2018), stationery (crayons, felt tip pens, colouring books) and toiletries (bubble bath, sponges, hair accessories).

Print a copy of our Santa Stork 2018 Poster to display around your place of business, or upload to your company Intranet. If you would like some printed copies, then please email

And a little Thank You from us…

We know that many of you want to get your children involved in giving this Christmas. As a thank you we will give you a fantastic Santa Stork Activity Pack. This contains a Thank You Certificate for your child, as well as lots of fun activities, recipes and games to keep your children busy, and hopefully a little calmer, in the run up to Christmas.

Help make someone’s Christmas wishes come true, because Christmas is the time for giving.

If you’re new to Stripey Stork and want to know more about previous Santa Stork campaigns, you can read about them here: 2017 and  2016.

Other local Charities this Christmas

We have joined forces with four other East Surrey charities to ensure that all bases are covered – from gift, to food and clothing donations. Find out how you can help in other ways to give festive cheer to local people in need here – #LetsGiveChristmas.
